September 27, 2008, is an important match where two of ECWA’s aspiring wrestlers get a golden opportunity to show fans what they are made of, as “The Pitbull” Tim Richards collides with “The Fighting Paramedic” Corey Blaze.
Both of these up and coming stars have been training on the ECWA’s roster for well over a year but mostly competing in tag team, six man tag team and Battle Royal type matches. September 27 they climb through the ropes to showcase their single talents and both are very excited to be competing in this event.
Corey Blaze, first broke into the ECWA as a protege of the late Hall of Famer, Boogie Woogie Brown. He then went on to provide some exciting moments as part of ECWA’s young “Green Team” along with partners, J.J. Cruz and Jason Leigh. During his many appearances in Battle Royals and Rumbles he has stood against almost every major superstar in the promotion which has built up his experience and confidence as a performer. While not the most technical wrestler on the roster, he more than makes up for that with his speed and agility. Though still rough around the edges, the fans of the ECWA have gotten solidly behind this young man and his connection with the audience grows with every appearance. He is very much looking forward to keeping that momentum growing in his singles match against the tough Tim Richards September 27.
While he started around the same time as Blaze, the embittered young performer known to many as “The Pitbull”, Tim Richards carries a big chip on his shoulder. He claims that promoters, wrestlers and the fans have never given him the chances and respect he deserves. He further claims that while aspiring to become a superstar on the roster, it was guys like Corey Blaze who pushed in front of him for recognition, which held him back. He too, has faced all the major competitors on the roster in Battle Royals and Rumbles. He is not overly huge in size, but he is known to try every cheap trick in the book to further his career. While he doesn’t possess the technical talents or size, he displays a tough tenacity of brutality, always advancing forward, which has earned him his nickname of “Pitbull”. He loves that persona and could care less what his peers and the fans really think about him.
The bitterness of Richards came out in the open at the last event when he was forced to team with Corey Blaze and then turned on him. Perhaps Richards was looking for this opportunity all along. Well if he has, he’s got it now. A chance to meet Corey Blaze face to face, one on one, September 27.
Two young talents. Both equally skilled. Both aspiring to advance further and gain acceptance in the tough world of pro wrestling. Both looking to prove to the fans and each other, just who is the best! Corey Blaze and Tim Richards collide in singles competition on September 27. A golden opportunity for both!
