Thank you, Ace.
It hasn't even been a month yet and the ECWA already feels far too empty for my tastes. It hasn't even been official yet, but somehow it already seems you have been gone too long. The locker room is a little quieter and I don't like it one bit. The ECWA just isn't the same without Ace Darling in it.
Just about 13 years ago, I walked into my first ECWA show as a fan and Ace Darling was there. Ace was flying higher than I thought possible, telling a grand story, sucking me in completely with his match. A few months later, as I became a part of the ECWA, a part of the ring crew whilst I trained at Wrestle Tech, Ace proved to be what I thought of him was true, Ace Darling is one heck of a nice guy. A class act who always had not just a handshake for the boys, but for everyone who worked on the show. When I became a part of the show, Ace taught me a lot. He taught me about storytelling, how to suck the crowd in and most importantly, a lesson I share today with the kids who come through, to be selfless with your knowledge and use it to get the next generation ready.
I have shared the spotlight with Ace Darling for 10 years and I was completely blessed to be able to do so. Ace is and always will be the definition of professional when I think of Professional Wresting. He arrived early, gave of himself completely in his match, holding nothing back and made sure that the fans got their money's worth.
Ace came to see me as an equal in the locker room, a fellow veteran who followed the old rules, but I will never be an equal to Ace Darling. Ace is the level I hold myself to in front of the curtain and behind and I still have a long road ahead of me before I can think I am an equal to Ace Darling in any way. I can only hope I'm able to leave a mark on the ECWA like Ace did when I finally walk away.
Ace, you are and always will be one of the greats. I thank you for everything you have taught me and I promise to try to do the ECWA justice like you have throughout your career. You will be missed and remember, if you miss it too much, just grab a mask and come have fun with us as El Darling.

Sebastian Night: Conspiracy Theorist?
It's A Conspiracy!!!
So let me get this straight. Leather N Lace, the #1 contenders to the ECWA Tag Team Titles is being placed into a 5 of a kind match? Where we may have to beat not just one team, but four? I can smell it through my computer screen and it's just sad. The Logan Sisters are so terrified to face us, so worried about losing the belts, that they have stacked the deck in THEIR favor on September 27th.
Two teams will start the match and the winner of that match will face a third team and the winner of that match will face a fourth team. So, realistically, Leather N Lace is faced with the possibility of having to not just beat, but DECIMATE a big chunk of the ECWA Roster, just to get a SHOT at titles we have already earned a shot at? I smell a conspiracy and I promise you, I won't stand for it. And what do our "Fighting Champions" get to do while the rest of us are fighting for our lives? They get to sit in the back and figure out which Logan is which, as usual.
But you know what, it's not going to matter. You can throw 3 teams, 6 teams, the entire ECWA Roster in our path and they won't stop us from attaining what is rightfully ours, the ECWA Tag Team Titles. All it means in the end, is that every team that stands on our way is going to become just another victim on our way to the top. I put the locker room on notice before and I'm going to reiterate it here, you are all stepping stones for us, you're all speed bumps on the road to destiny. Leather N Lace isn't going to let anyone stand between us and those straps. Not Mega and Cha Cha Chance, Not Gus Grand and Robere' Shields, not the Nigerian Nightmares and most assuredly NOT The Logan Brothers.
Our journey is but four teams longer, and we will stop at nothing to get what is rightfully ours. By hook, or by crook, nothing will deter us from fulfilling our destiny. We will see you boys on the 27th, bring your A Game, because we always do.

Wow. The East Coast Wrestling Association is 41 years young. A company that has launched hundreds of wresting careers and entertained thousands of fans. I have been blessed to have been a part of the ECWA for the last 10 years and hope to be here to celebrate it's 50th as well.

An Open Letter to The Valedictorians
Rob and Billy. Eckos and Bax. Let me first applaud you on your win on May 10th, it was ... Um wait a minute. That's right you DIDN'T win in May. You ended your match staring up at the lights. Then, if your night hadn't gone bad enough, you took your time leaving the ring and ran head on into the freight train, that is my boys, Leather N Lace. A confrontation that could have been avoided if you hadn't been in OUR Aisle while we made our way to the ring.
But you decided to step up to the plate, and by doing so, we took it out on Lil Danny Eckos. His screams of agony were like a symphony to my ears. Every second of his pain, made me laugh harder and harder. And then, once again, you stuck your noses into our business. You decided you wanted a piece of Leather N Lace and you wanted it THAT NIGHT.
Well, when you don't have the titles, you don't have any pull. So, you didn't get what you wanted, but come July 26th, you will get much more than you can handle in that ring, because Leather N Lace is coming with cruel intentions.
I will give you your just due, you are the greatest tag team to ever step into an ECWA ring. Your two plus year reign with the tag titles is unrivaled by any team ever. You have taken on all comers, were fighting champions and even now, an air of greatness surrounds you. Beating you in the ring will not be an easy task and not one we will take lightly, I promise you that. Since May 10th, I have been doing my due diligence. I've been watching tape of you, as singles competitors and as a team. I have seen you in your infancy as a team and at the height of your legendary status.
And I have found flaws in your game. I have found mistakes you make and I've seen your tells and I will share these findings with JJ and Hot Shot.
You may both be ECWA Hall of Famers for your performances in the ring all these years, but don't forget, so am I. I didn't get there without earning it. Valedictorians, you were and maybe still are a great team. But you have lost your focus and no longer carry a killer instinct in your hearts. But we do. You will be just another stepping stone for Leather N Lace on July 26th, as we continue our journey towards our destiny, a meeting with The Logan Brothers and the ECWA Tag Team Titles.
In all sincerity,
Sebastian Night

Sebastian Night comments on May 10 show
We asked everyone to comment on the Championship Icon vs. Icon match between ECWA Champion Glen Osbourne & ECWA Mid Atlantic Champion Ace Darling., as well as the Logan Brothers upcoming title defense against the 848 lb monsters that squashed them last time, The Nigerian Nightmares. We also asked them their thoughts on the mystery of "Who Attacked Freak Nastty." Below is Sebastian Night's contribution:
First of all, let me start this off by saying I am being forced to do this by the management of the East Coast Wrestling Association; and when I say management, I mean that overactive human adrenal gland, Freak Nastty. I fought him on this, but in the end, he signs the checks and he forced my hand. But, I will get back to him in good time, I promise.
On the subject of the main event of the ECWA show on May 10th, I have to say that if I wasn't already lucky enough to be a part of this show and to see this match first hand, I would be in line with all of the fans to witness it. Two of the biggest stars in ECWA history, face to face, ready to go one on one to see who the true Icon of the ECWA is. It's a match that has been building for years and now the question will finally be answered. It's a match that would make any wrestling purest salivate and the ECWA fans get to see it. Let me say a little bit about each of the competitors.
Ace Darling, The Indy Outlaw, legend of the squared circle and winner of the first ever Super 8 Tournament. Ace has forgotten more about wrestling than most young wrestlers have learned yet. Ace is a master of his craft in and out of the ring. Not only can he tie his opponents in knots inside the ring, but he can use his head to tie up their brains as well. Ace is the very definition of a Ring General. Ace is once again the ECWA Mid Atlantic Champion, one of the most prestigious titles in Independent wrestling and he is one of the most respected men to hold that title. Ace Darling is someone who has been through the wars and knows what it takes to get the W. I respect him as an entertainer and a wrestler more every single month.
Glen Osbourne, The Beast. When I first met Glen, he was "The Madman from the Badlands." He didn't care what the fans thought of him and his path to the ECWA Heavyweight Title was paved with Battered Bodies and Broken Dreams. Then one night, Glen lost that killer instinct. He went soft and he started hearing the chants and claps and started caring what they thought of him. Glen Osbourne found his smile. And it was all downhill after that. After a brief sabbatical away from the ECWA, Glen came back and much to my shock and awe, that killer instinct he had lost, was back. Yeah, he was still smiling and the fans were still cheering him, but when that bell rang, the monster I first saw was back. The Beast had been unleashed. Mr. Scott Wright felt it on April 5th and Glen became the new ECWA Heavyweight Champion. It pains me to say this, but this lipstick wearing freak respects the sacrifices Glen has made in life to perfect his craft and level he goes to, to make sure that every fan gets their monies worth.
So, what will happen when Ace Darling, the ECWA Mid Atlantic Champion faces off against Glen Osbourne, the ECWA Heavyweight Champion on May 10th? A phenomenal match, that's what will happen. These two know each other so well, each of them having over a decade of experience to draw from, but neither of them has a clear advantage. Ace will attempt to outwit him and out wrestle him and yes, if given the opportunity, will take shortcuts where he can, because that's something experience has taught him. It's all about getting your hand raised in the end. Glen will take his lead from the fans. He will feed on their cheers and excitement and they will push him beyond where his physical attributes would normally allow him to go. He will be fighting for them, to prove why he is the top dog in the ECWA. I don't know who will win, but I know they will give 100%, but that's the only way either of them knows how to wrestle.
As far as the ECWA Tag Team title match, I only have one opinion. That match should belong to my team, Leather N Lace. They have not been pinned since I put them together and if not for political interference after our match in April, we would have another win. But, I will once again try to put my bias aside. The Nigerian Nightmares are huge monstrous mounds of flesh who are surprising agile and athletic in the ring. But yet, still very unorthodox with their style. I don't envy The Logan Brothers task of facing them, though I would be lying if I said I hope the Nightmares win. Why? Because The Logans we can watch tape and prepare for, we can plan an attack. The Nigerians, I have to hope they were fed before the match, because I am not a rack of lamb for them to feast on. For me, from a strictly selfish point of view, I hope The Logans come out in the end as the champions. Because if they do, The Nightmares will have worn them down enough for them to be vulnerable and where there is a weakness, there will be new ECWA Tag Team Champions in Leather N Lace.
Now, as for Freak Nastty. I am not going to bite my tongue with you and be as objective. I have no reason to. You stuck your nose into my business. There is no instant replay in Professional Wrestling. Trust me, I looked it up and contacted four lawyers. The one who didn't hang up on me assured me I am correct. You stole a win from my team, Leather N Lace, and you know it. The referees decision is final, not up for a review of what "The Fans" want. Most of the fans, if they had an original thought, it would die of loneliness anyway. But, you care about what they want. You care so much, that you insinuated yourself into matches all night long. You have turned half the locker room against you, even your dear friends, the Logan Brothers, don't like you right now.
In my opinion, you got what you deserved. Now, for the record, I am not taking credit for it, nor am I denying it. But I will say, I found it quite funny to see you laid out like that. I had to stifle my desire to laugh. But you want to know what I found most interesting, Freak? That while you lay there, no one wanted to lift a finger to help you. No one had a look of concern for your well being. Why? Because you are all about you in the end. You brought this on yourself. So, ice down that lump and remember to watch your back, because you have no idea who is out to get you.
