Magnum’s Thoughts on the Upcoming ECWA Show

The ECWA’s October 25, 2008 show is Super 8 Tournament night. If each event in professional wrestling was a holiday, the Super 8 would be pro wrestling’s Christmas. Every year enthusiastic wrestling fans wait and wait until the big night arrives. In addition to the big dance, there’s also a Tag Team Summit over-the-top-rope match plus the retirement of Indy Icon, Ace Darling. So, where should Magnum begin?

Let’s start with the Super 8 Tournament. Once again Jim Kettner has put together a great mix of talent, charisma, and entertainment. The local boys – Aden Chambers, Chase Del Monte, and Loca Vida – welcome Alex Koslov, Maverick, Frankie Arion, Scott Reed, and Shannon Moore into the hallowed halls of the ECWA. Magnum admits it – he’s looking forward to watching who will reign supreme this year. The action should be non-stop and uber entertaining.

And oh yes, the Tag Team Summit. Remember back, if you will, to May 10, 2008. The ECWA debut of your favorite entertainer, the magnificent one, the awesome entity, MAGNUM. On that historic night, Commissioner Naegele thought he was getting the better of Magnum by inserting his awesomeness into the Olympiad rumble match. And what happened? Magnum won!! Now, although Magnum is a MANAGER and would normally put his lawyers to work about being forced to wrestle, we can never forget that there is no limit to Magnum’s awesomeness. Paired with Frederick of Hollywood as a partner, I don’t know if I’ve ever felt more confident. And once the fans see Magnum’s brand new, couture in-ring ensemble, they’ll realize that there has never before been anything so fantastic in all of pro wrestling.

Ace Darling. “Indy Icon” is not just a nickname. It’s a fact. Inside the ring his talent is hard to match; on the mic he cuts compelling and entertaining promos that everyone should learn from; and in the locker room he is a coach, a friend, and an inspiration. The ECWA, the fans, and professional wrestling are losing a hero. Good luck, Ace.
And how could I forget – the pre-show Halloween Costume Contest! Forgive me while I pause to laugh…

OK.

When I think of a Halloween costume, I think of something creepy, scary, or funny. But the ECWA fans are already creepy, scary, and funny!!! So what will their costumes have to offer? I don’t know if I should be afraid, or relieved that many of their ugly mugs will be behind a mask. We shall see!

Come one, come all to a great night of athleticism, entertainment, and awesomeness!

Thank You Ace, from Sebastian Night

Thank you, Ace.

It hasn't even been a month yet and the ECWA already feels far too empty for my tastes. It hasn't even been official yet, but somehow it already seems you have been gone too long. The locker room is a little quieter and I don't like it one bit. The ECWA just isn't the same without Ace Darling in it.

Just about 13 years ago, I walked into my first ECWA show as a fan and Ace Darling was there. Ace was flying higher than I thought possible, telling a grand story, sucking me in completely with his match. A few months later, as I became a part of the ECWA, a part of the ring crew whilst I trained at Wrestle Tech, Ace proved to be what I thought of him was true, Ace Darling is one heck of a nice guy. A class act who always had not just a handshake for the boys, but for everyone who worked on the show. When I became a part of the show, Ace taught me a lot. He taught me about storytelling, how to suck the crowd in and most importantly, a lesson I share today with the kids who come through, to be selfless with your knowledge and use it to get the next generation ready.

I have shared the spotlight with Ace Darling for 10 years and I was completely blessed to be able to do so. Ace is and always will be the definition of professional when I think of Professional Wresting. He arrived early, gave of himself completely in his match, holding nothing back and made sure that the fans got their money's worth.

Ace came to see me as an equal in the locker room, a fellow veteran who followed the old rules, but I will never be an equal to Ace Darling. Ace is the level I hold myself to in front of the curtain and behind and I still have a long road ahead of me before I can think I am an equal to Ace Darling in any way. I can only hope I'm able to leave a mark on the ECWA like Ace did when I finally walk away.

Ace, you are and always will be one of the greats. I thank you for everything you have taught me and I promise to try to do the ECWA justice like you have throughout your career. You will be missed and remember, if you miss it too much, just grab a mask and come have fun with us as El Darling.

Aden Chambers Wishes Ace Darling Well

Mike Tobin hit the nail on the head friends. Ace Darling is a once in a lifetime performer and person. It is unheard of for someone like him to extend the olive branch of friendship and knowledge to so many people. To be privileged enough to get to know Ace on a one on one basis is just awesome, and to learn from him is an honor because you are going to get the honest truth which in life today is hard to receive about anything. Ace is a genuinely great human being and I cannot praise him enough for the good he has done for myself and my peers.

Jim Kettner got himself a diamond in the rough when Ace Darling came to his organization (I know you like that pun Ace). We should all strive to be able to pattern our career's after his, one can only hope to get a send off like his... but we all know with this business, Never Say Never.

Thank You Ace Darling

I want to say a few words about the retirement of Ace Darling. For the past 17 years Ace has set the standard for all of us who tried to follow him. His track record for having some of the most memorable matches we have ever seen is a mile long. I can spend all day talking about his accomplishments. So can he (just kidding). What I want to talk about is the guy who for the past few years did what most people in our business don't. HE GAVE BACK!! The man did it all in the ECWA and spent many years giving back to the company that he took to another level. Every one of us in that locker room owe him a debt of gratitude. He was always there to offer advice, help you out and if you had the privilege to wrestle him you know you left the ring that night a better wrestler. Just take a look at this year’s Super 8 lineup. Ask Aden Chambers and Chase Del Monte how much being mentored by and wrestling Ace made them better over the years. What I am trying to say is THANK YOU!

Veterans like Ace, Glen Osborne, and all the other people who have passed through the ECWA the last 41 years coming back to help the young talent evolve have made ECWA one of the most respected promotions in the history of wrestling.

I can say that getting to know Ace for the past five years has been a true honor. Any time you wanted real advice, feedback or a good Vince McMahon impersonation Ace Darling was the man. A true locker room leader and a true friend. This last few months being away from the ECWA injured it was conversations with Ace and his words that made that time a lot easier. So to the man who put the Super 8 on the map I want to say Thank You!

I think I speak for the entire ECWA roster when I say you will be missed and when you get tired of being a civilian and want to lace them up one more time we will be waiting!!!

Good Luck and God Bless!

Your Friend,
Mike Tobin

Sebastian Night: Conspiracy Theorist?

It's A Conspiracy!!!

So let me get this straight. Leather N Lace, the #1 contenders to the ECWA Tag Team Titles is being placed into a 5 of a kind match? Where we may have to beat not just one team, but four? I can smell it through my computer screen and it's just sad. The Logan Sisters are so terrified to face us, so worried about losing the belts, that they have stacked the deck in THEIR favor on September 27th.

Two teams will start the match and the winner of that match will face a third team and the winner of that match will face a fourth team. So, realistically, Leather N Lace is faced with the possibility of having to not just beat, but DECIMATE a big chunk of the ECWA Roster, just to get a SHOT at titles we have already earned a shot at? I smell a conspiracy and I promise you, I won't stand for it. And what do our "Fighting Champions" get to do while the rest of us are fighting for our lives? They get to sit in the back and figure out which Logan is which, as usual.

But you know what, it's not going to matter. You can throw 3 teams, 6 teams, the entire ECWA Roster in our path and they won't stop us from attaining what is rightfully ours, the ECWA Tag Team Titles. All it means in the end, is that every team that stands on our way is going to become just another victim on our way to the top. I put the locker room on notice before and I'm going to reiterate it here, you are all stepping stones for us, you're all speed bumps on the road to destiny. Leather N Lace isn't going to let anyone stand between us and those straps. Not Mega and Cha Cha Chance, Not Gus Grand and Robere' Shields, not the Nigerian Nightmares and most assuredly NOT The Logan Brothers.

Our journey is but four teams longer, and we will stop at nothing to get what is rightfully ours. By hook, or by crook, nothing will deter us from fulfilling our destiny. We will see you boys on the 27th, bring your A Game, because we always do.

-Sebastian Night

Tim Richards on his Golden Opportunity

The ECWA Pro Wrestling show on September 27, 2008 has a recurring theme that it's all about gambles. That is exactly what I've done. That's why at the last show I started assaulting that punk paramedic Corey Blaze. Blaze and the rest of the Green Team were getting all of the glory, while I waited in the shadows. Now after I made an impact, the ECWA officials have made this match with Blaze and myself. Blaze, remember you may be a high flyer and a risk taker, but I have no regard for my body as well. If I get hurt while hurting you so be it. On September 27, you will know what it's like in the BACK of an ambulance. Cause Blaze, you know this better than just about anyone, "In the end, we're just chalk lines in the concrete ... Drawn only to be washed away ..." I hold your bucket of water. And to show you I am part human, and the show has a gambling theme, I will tell you where to put all of your chips ... ON BLACK ... AND BLUE!

Glen Osbourne Vs. Ace Darling in a Retirement Match

Perhaps the most anticipated match in ECWA history happens on SEPTEMBER 27 as “The Beast” Glen Osbourne meets Ace Darling in a RETIREMENT MATCH to be contested under STREET FIGHT RULES!

It’s one of those unique classics that will pit.

ICON VS. ICON

and to make it more historic and ground breaking…….the loser of the match will

RETIRE from ACTIVE WRESTLING

The match has fans and the entire ECWA locker room buzzing with anticipation. Many ECWA critics are going to be watching this historic event very carefully. There is a lot at stake for both iconic performers. Their first meeting on May 10 was all about Championships, history, iconic status, and pride. Now this return match brings all that to the forefront once again, but with one important difference. Both careers are on the line!

The Beast Glen Osbourne is no stranger to the lime light in the ECWA. He has main evented every type of match imaginable in the promotion and has wrestled legends like Mick Foley in our squared circle. He has held the Championship on more than one occasion and has battled all the ECWA greats during his storied career here in the promotion, which began in the early 1990’s. Osbourne has proven over the years that he is just more than power and brawn. He is an accomplished grappler that can go toe to toe with anyone. It has been noted by some that Glen has a killer instinct. Sometimes he listens to the fans and sometimes he does not….but when push comes to shove and the chips are down, The Beast reaches down in his reserves, his killer instinct takes over, and the rest is history. He is a winner! He will have to reach way down in his soul on September 27as he meets another man who is just as big an icon as he…that man is Ace Darling.

Ace began wrestling for the ECWA when he was a kid and has been with the promotion since the early 1990’s as well. How do you rate or rank a performer who HAS DONE IT ALL? Darling has held every major title in the promotion, several times over. He won the very first ECWA Super 8 Tournament and has competed in more Super 8’s than anyone else in history. He too has wrestled legends and performed in every type of match possible in the ECWA. We all kid about Darling’s ability to talk constantly about his accomplishments…..but even greater than his boasting, is his ability to back up everything he says and his ability to keep making history in the ECWA. No one can deny that Ace Darling is arguably one of the most celebrated and decorated superstars in the history of the promotion. He is a master of his craft and some 16 years after he started, he still amazes fans with his performances.

For many years, both Darling and Osbourne have co-existed in the ECWA, for the most part doing their own thing and achieving every accolade possible. Their styles very different but yet their results and achievements, very parallel. On April 5 of 2008, all that would change. In what seemed normal for the icons, Glen captured the ECWA Heavyweight Championship that night and Ace countered by winning the ECWA Mid Atlantic Championship as well. For some odd reason, Ace would take that occasion to proclaim himself the greatest icon and champion ever to compete in the ECWA. Osbourne took exception to the remarks and confronted Ace, thus challenging him to a match on May 10 where both title would be on the line.

On May 10, Glen Osbourne would narrowly pull off a win, but it came at a cost! For the 1st time in his illustrious career, the indy icon, Ace Darling would go ballistic and start doing irrational things. He started out by stealing both title belts in which officials had to negotiate with him to return the titles. For the return of the title belts, he positioned himself again to become ECWA Mid Atlantic Champion on July 26.

At our July 26 event, history would take an ugly turn for both Darling and Osbourne as they would cost each other their coveted titles. Both now without a title, became irate at what the other had cost him. It further escalated when the two had to be separated later in the evening, but not until they h ad challenged each other to a CAREER vs. CAREER match for the September 27 show.

Well the match is set! Two of ECWA’s biggest icons meet one last time for the biggest prize of all THEIR CAREER!

So what happens when you place two decorated icons in the ring against each other? And what happens when you place both careers in jeopardy for the first time in one match?

WE WILL MAKE ECWA HISTORY on SEPTEMBER 27!!!!!

Be there to see who will surpass the status of icon!!! And WHO WILL RETIRE!

Frederick of Hollywood Issues Open Challenge

By: Josh Martin

The coveted ECWA Heavyweight Championship is on the line on September 27 when the newly crowned champion, Frederick of Hollywood takes a BIG GAMBLE and ROLL OF THE DICE in his first defense.

WHO WILL CHALLENGE HIM????

The power house from Tinsel Town, stunned the wrestling world when he recently won the Championship, but to place his title in jeopardy like this in his 1st defense shows that his ego is as large and his 255 lb. frame.

Frederick of Hollywood has always been a top notch performer here in the ECWA and Championships have been around his waist before. While being a force to reckon with because of his tremendous size and power, Frederick lacked one thing. His confidence was his true vulnerability. That all changed when he hired Magnum as his manager. Since employing the services of the pesky mountain of misinformation, Frederick’s confidence level has went through the roof as was evident in his past several outings including his winning the title. It seems that Magnum, who has enough ego for 100 men, has really built the powerhouse known as Frederick of Hollywood into ECWA’s TOP COMMODITY!

But one has to wonder if the new Heavyweight Champion and his machismo sidekick known as Magnum have let their egos override their good sense, when they are putting the title on the line against any challenger.

The ECWA roster is loaded with many top performers who have held that title and could possibly hold that title again in the future. Perhaps top of the list is Freak Nastty, who hates Magnum and has a huge suspicion that Frederick of Hollywood may have been the one who brutally attacked him earlier this year. Let’s not count out others who think they deserve that title like, Mr. Scott Wright, who constantly reminds everyone that he is a TWO TIME Heavyweight Champion. What about other powerhouses like Glen Osbourne, J. J. Crew Guy, Hot Shot Mike Reed and Tommy Trouble, all who can rival Frederick in the strength department. And how about guys like the Nigerian Nightmares, Cha Cha Chance or Mega who have tremendous size to rival the Hollywood star. Not to mention ring technicians like Prince Nana, The Valedictorians, Ace Darling, Aden Chambers, Travis Blake, Chase Del Monte and The Logan Brothers, all who have the abilities to hang in there with the egotistical champion. What about the foreign stars on the roster who bring a different style with them to the ring like Mr. Ooh La La, Loca Vida or Kermon the Crazy German or Max Von Bauer. And never count out the little guys on the roster like Robere Sheilds, J.J. Cruz, Tim Richards, Jason Leigh, Corey Blaze, Gus Grand and everyone’s favorites The Heavyweights, all of which are smaller than Frederick but they all possess the speed and agility to possibly cut down the big old oak tree known as Frederick of Hollywood. Don’t even be surprised if the missing in action Chick Magnets return for this opportunity to wrestle the champion.

WHO WILL IT BE?

Has the new Champion, Frederick of Hollywood bitten off more than he can chew in his 1st title defense since winning the title or does that self proclaimed “mastermind of mayhem” manager, Magnum have something up his sleeve other than a hairy arm? Is it a WELL CALCULATED MOVE or a BIG GAMBLE? You decide!

4 Tag Teams Are Hot on the Heals of the Logan Brothers

By: Josh Martin

It’s a FULL HOUSE ---RUN FOR THE GOLD and the stakes could not be higher.

It’s involves 4 Tag Teams that are hot on the heals of the Logan Brothers for the coveted ECWA TAG TEAM TITLES and it comes our way on September 27.

FULL HOUSE -- RUN FOR THE GOLD is an interesting concept and here is how it all works:

2 Teams will start the event and the winners of that match advance to meet the next team.
The winners of that match advance to meet the 3rd team and the winners of that advance to meet the 4th team, and the winners of that match will go on to meet the Logans for the tag team championship titles. The order of the teams have been drawn by ECWA officials and will not be announced until that evening as the match progresses.

So consequently one team could stay in and win all the matches against all the teams and meet the Logans in the final of the match. Or depending on the outcome of the matches, it’s anyone’s guess as to who will be left last to face off against Matt & Bryan Logan.

Let’s look at the teams involved:

CHA CHA CHANCE & 400 LB. MEGA
This newly formed combination litterly SPLASHED onto the scene by tagging together at the last ECWA event and between their different styles, their size and their entrance musics, they ROCKED THE HOUSE. Giant Mega brings the size and experience to the team while young Cha Cha Chance brings a new look and renewed determination to climb the ranks of the ECWA chain. Cha Cha is electrifying and he is determined to walk out of the show as part owner of the Tag Team Championship. Mega is equally as excited, because a win here would give him something that has eluded him during his entire career here in the ECWA, a TITLE ! As you might imagine, both competitors are fired up and no doubt are set to ROCK THE ARENA once again! Can they do it?

PRESS AGENT GUS GRAND & ROBERE’ SHIELDS
Although they are slightly eccentric and sometimes miscalculated, they could be the ones to surprise everyone and pull out a win. Stranger things have happed in the ECWA. Young Robere has had a couple of great outings recently where he has had a chance to display his true talents and critics are saying he has all the potential to be a top ECWA star and a title holder for sure. ECWA’s Press Agent-The Pefect Man, Gus Grand has been focusing on his wrestling career since losing all his clients. He has been lobbying ECWA officials for more prime positions on the cards and this opportunity gives him just that, an opportunity to team with Robere Shields and try for the tag team championship. Grand has looked great in his last couple of outings and he is thinking about giving up his Press Agent business and heading into wrestling full time. Although on paper, this looks like to be the team least likely to take the gold, don’t count out these crafty journeymen who are looking for fame and fortune!

LEATHER N LACE—J.J. Crew Guy & Hot Shot Mike Reed
This is the hottest tag team in the ECWA at the present time and they have been searching for the all elusive tag team title shot. Their win/loss record is impeccable and their in ring style, although questionable at times, is one of pure genius, all manipulated by the diabolical Seabastian Night. The Hot Shot Mike Reed is an accomplished technician in the ring, while J.J. Crew Guy brings the experience, strength and brutal tactics into play to round out the deadly combination. They have been wanting this opportunity for months and now they have a chance to obtain their goal. The only thing standing in their way of getting at the Logans are 3 other teams….teams they have not faced in the past...can Leather N Lace climb the mountain?

The 848 LB. NIGERIAN NIGHTMARES
Speaking of Leather N Lace, climbing the mountain...try these two on for size! They are the size of=2 0two mountains. They are brutal, scary and perhaps the most dangerous tag team in ECWA history. R.L. Jackson’s, Nigerian Nightmares exploded onto the ECWA scene early this year and destroyed everything in their path. They got a title shot at the Logans recently but it was tough for R.L. Jackson to keep his humungous Nigerians focused in their new ECWA surroundings. He claims now that they are used to competing here in the East Coast Wrestling Association and he further states that we will see a more brutal 848 lb monster tag team than they have been in the past. That’s SCARY! If the Nigerian Nightmares have been brutal in the past, what can we expect on September 27 as they aspire to the very titles that recently alluded them?

THE LOGAN BROTHERS -- defending ECWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS
It took them almost three years to climb the ladder of tag team success which brought them the titles here in the ECWA. While touted as the most athletic and technical team to ever hold the titles, they have had a tough year facing all types of challengers. One has to wonder if these tough title defense have taken their toll on the popular tag champions? One also has to wonder how tough this will be, as Matt or Bryan have NO IDEA who their opponents will be until the dust settles in the RUN FOR THE GOLD MATCH. You can be they will be watching the monitor backstage waiting to see who advances and who they will have to face. Each of the formidable previously announced challengers all have the tools and credentials to take the titles from the Logans. But let’s not count out the popular champions. They have defied all odds, including a pending feud with part ECWA owner Freak Nastty and they have stayed on track and focused. Can they go home on September 27 still holding the coveted ECWA titles?

We will find out.

4 teams who have never faced each other all with different styles and brought together for one exclusive purpose. Advancing to get a shot at the Tag Team Championship. And the popular Tag Team Champions, who are at a distinct disadvantage, not knowing who to train for. So it’s a game of chance as each team plays in the ECWA’s FULL HOUSE—RUN FOR THE GOLD. Wh o will lose and who will cash in? We find out September 27.

5 of a Kind Mid-Atlantic Title Match

By: Justin Ayers

5 of a KIND equates to an energetic, an exciting Mid Atlantic Tile Match.

Partners, friends? Or will their tensions and quest for a title change all that?

On September 27 there will be 5 young superstars squaring off in a match where all the participants are allowed in the ring at the same time. The first man gaining the pin fall will be crowned the Mid Atlantic Champion.

Chase Del Monte won th e title in the last show in a somewhat controversial fashion where he was inserted in the match due to an injury sustained by J.J. Cruz who was supposed to be in that slot. Jason Leigh was also in that mix and now young Leigh and Cruz have a chance to enter their names to once again get a shot at the Mid Atlantic Title.

J.J. Cruz had a brief taste of what it is to be the Mid Atlantic Champion and while he is good friends with Jason Leigh and while they have trained together, they never let that stand in their way of competing against each other. They are quite competitive in their training sessions, bordering on the brink of being two competitive against each other, so you throw in the equation of a title into the picture, could that throw their sportsmanship and good competitive spirit out the window?

Speaking of good friends who have had tremendous success as a team, but yet a sorted back round as opponents, enter in The Valedictorians, Rob Eckos and Billy Bax. These two Hall of Famers are the tag team that gained legendary status by holding the tag team championship longer than anyone in ECWA history. Their friendship has been put to the test when they became opponents i n the last Super 8. It has further been strained by Billy Bax’s distain for Rob Eckos’s younger brother Dan Eckos. Bax claims that Dan has been nothing but a distraction to his older brother and he thinks that has caused Rob to become unfocused as he is constantly looking out for Dan, rather than concentrating on the Valedictorians success, as was noted recently in The Leather N Lace/Heavyweight feud where The Valedictorians had to become involved to save Dan. To say there is quite a bit of tension between the Valedictorians is an understatement...and throw in the fact they want to be Mid Atlantic Champion, you just may see another Valedictorian v Valedictorian.

Perhaps the man in the best seat to all this is the defending Mid Atlantic Champion, popular Chase Del Monte. While Chase seems happy go lucky in the ring, never let it be said that he is anyone’s fool. He knows the other 4 men have tensions between them and he could very well play off of that. He also knows that they are friends and that could play against him. No matter what happens, you can be assured that Chase Del Monte will be wrestling and monitoring the situation very closely as he attempts to hold on to his coveted ECWA Mid Atlantic Title in the 5 of a Kind Match on September 27.

Tommy Trouble Vs Kermon the German in a Hair Vs Hair Match

By: Justin Ayers

The stakes were high in their 1st meeting, now THE ANTE HAS GONE UP!

Back in July, fitness coach Jim Shorts proudly led his Berlin Bad Boy, Kermon The Crazy German to the ring in a match against U.S.A’s own Tommy Trouble. After a lot of interference by Mr. Shorts at ringside and the good support of the loyal ECWA fans, young Tommy Trouble pulled out a win over the crafty German and the American Flag waived high at the end of the match. Everyone in the area was happy except for Kermon and his mentor, Jim Shorts.

Jim Shorts was so livid that he promptly contacted the ECWA officials for a rematch, this time with ANTE being much higher than the flag waiving spectacle of last time. On September 27 Jim Shorts has demanded that Tommy Trouble give Kermon the German a rematch…this time in a HAIR VS. HAIR MATCH!

Tommy Trouble reluctantly agreed to the match, although he has been skeptical about what Jim Shorts has up his sleeve, for after all he would have never pressed for such a match unless he has something planned.

The bad blood goes way back with the Tommy Trouble/Jim Shorts & Kermon factions. Trouble at one time was a loyal follower of Mr. Shorts until the ungrateful fitness coach turned on Tommy by berating him and physically attacking him. Mr. Shorts has used Kermon as his henchman trying to put Trouble out of action. The truth is that Jim Shorts is very jealous of Tommy Trouble’s=2 0success without him, so he wants to make Trouble pay for breaking away from his power.

Jim Shorts has had Kermon training for this upcoming HAIR VS. HAIR MATCH and our sources tell us to look for some new tricks Kermon has planned in his defense against young Tommy Trouble. On an interesting side note, we caught wind that Jim Shorts, who is quite athletic has also been training, but WHY? He is noted to interference on many occasions in match ups, but what could he be planning for September 27? No one seems to know.

Tommy Trouble is liking his new found popularity with the ECWA fans and credits them for his recent win over Kermon. Will the fans support be enough again for Tommy Trouble to pull through? Will the presences of the ever plotting Jim Shorts at ringside be a deterrent to Tommy Trouble?

As we get ready to post this write up, the ECWA offices just informed us that they have granted Tommy Trouble’s request to have someone in his corner on September 27 to watch his back and perhaps keep Jim Shorts from interfering. We are told that seconding Tommy Trouble will be his good friend, Travis Blake! Travis is an accomplished in ring performer who recently joined the ECWA and he too has become quite popular with the fans. He was happy to accept the offer to be in Trouble’s corner to back him up.

Two incredibly talented superstars meet again but this time it’s HAIR VS. HAIR.
Throw in a bitter fitness coach who stops at nothing to gain victory for his wrestlers and someone in the opposing corner who could offset the antics of the demented coach!

An explosive situation as the ANTE has just gotten HIGHER.

A NEW CHALLENGE…NO WILD CARDS ALLOWED! Which hand will WIN?

Former ECWA Heavyweight Champion, Aden Chambers collides with another former ECWA Heavyweight Champion, Prince Nana on September 27.

The ECWA officials have been trying to sign this match for a long time and now the sun, moon and stars are completely aligned for this match to take place.

While many in the promotion may not like Prince Nana’s tactics, no one cannot deny the tremendous success this man from Ghana has had over the years. He has virtually done it all in the ECWA including a brief stint as part owner of the company. He has had many verbal battles with fans at ringside and is tremendous on getting hi points across over the microphone. Perhaps that all overshadows the evils Princes’ real talent. That of being a tremendous hand in the ring. He is a true ring general and knows where he is at every minute he is in there. Noted to sometimes take short cuts to win, Nana on many occasions has relied on his pure wrestling ability to overcome opponents. In his home country of Ghana, the young Prince was noted to be the best wrestler in the history of the country. Here in the United States, he has chosen to align himself with the likes of R.L. Jackson and the Nigerian Nightmares, but on September 27 Prince Nana has agreed to come to the ring alone to face Aden Chambers. While one can only take what Nana says at face value, we are told that Nana wants to=2 0show the entire world that his is in the best shape of his life and ready to capture the Heavyweight Championship again in the ECWA. Certainly a win over former Aden Chambers will give him a big boost in the ratings picture and put him in title contention once again.

Aden Chambers is perhaps the most under rated superstar on the ECWA roster. He is exciting to watch in the ring, a true daredevil that takes risks and he has the heart of a young lion, yet sometimes his nice guy, quiet persona gets overshadowed by larger than life characters on the roster. Persona wise, he may take a backseat sometimes, but in the ring he is always out front and this former Champion has never failed in delivering some of the best matches in the history of the ECWA. If you have been following Chamber’s career you will find a very noticeable trait in all of his matches. He always breaks out a different move or exciting daredevil maneuver that leaves his opponents spellbound and the fans in awe of his fantastic talents. He has had great tag team success in the past but his greatest achievement was his run as the ECWA Heavyweight Champion. He silenced all his critics by holding on to the title for such a long reign. As a singles performer, he has always relied on his own talents to w in his matches and has never aligned himself with factions, quite the opposite of his opponent, Prince Nana. Chambers is one of the best hands in the ECWA squared circle and a win here could put him in title contention once again.

There you have it….TWO GREAT HANDS

Two former Champions, perhaps looking for gold once again…equal in experience, equal in talent, equal in spirit...only one holds the right cards!

WHICH HAND WILL WIN????

We find out on September 27 as Prince Nana takes on Aden Chambers and NO WILD CARDS ALLOWED!

Golden Opportunity for Corey Blaze and Tim Richards

By: Josh Martin

September 27, 2008, is an important match where two of ECWA’s aspiring wrestlers get a golden opportunity to show fans what they are made of, as “The Pitbull” Tim Richards collides with “The Fighting Paramedic” Corey Blaze.

Both of these up and coming stars have been training on the ECWA’s roster for well over a year but mostly competing in tag team, six man tag team and Battle Royal type matches. September 27 they climb through the ropes to showcase their single talents and both are very excited to be competing in this event.

Corey Blaze, first broke into the ECWA as a protege of the late Hall of Famer, Boogie Woogie Brown. He then went on to provide some exciting moments as part of ECWA’s young “Green Team” along with partners, J.J. Cruz and Jason Leigh. During his many appearances in Battle Royals and Rumbles he has stood against almost every major superstar in the promotion which has built up his experience and confidence as a performer. While not the most technical wrestler on the roster, he more than makes up for that with his speed and agility. Though still rough around the edges, the fans of the ECWA have gotten solidly behind this young man and his connection with the audience grows with every appearance. He is very much looking forward to keeping that momentum growing in his singles match against the tough Tim Richards September 27.

While he started around the same time as Blaze, the embittered young performer known to many as “The Pitbull”, Tim Richards carries a big chip on his shoulder. He claims that promoters, wrestlers and the fans have never given him the chances and respect he deserves. He further claims that while aspiring to become a superstar on the roster, it was guys like Corey Blaze who pushed in front of him for recognition, which held him back. He too, has faced all the major competitors on the roster in Battle Royals and Rumbles. He is not overly huge in size, but he is known to try every cheap trick in the book to further his career. While he doesn’t possess the technical talents or size, he displays a tough tenacity of brutality, always advancing forward, which has earned him his nickname of “Pitbull”. He loves that persona and could care less what his peers and the fans really think about him.

The bitterness of Richards came out in the open at the last event when he was forced to team with Corey Blaze and then turned on him. Perhaps Richards was looking for this opportunity all along. Well if he has, he’s got it now. A chance to meet Corey Blaze face to face, one on one, September 27.
Two young talents. Both equally skilled. Both aspiring to advance further and gain acceptance in the tough world of pro wrestling. Both looking to prove to the fans and each other, just who is the best! Corey Blaze and Tim Richards collide in singles competition on September 27. A golden opportunity for both!

Last Chance for the Heavyweights

By: Justin Ayers

ROYAL’S SUSPENSION IS OVER!

How was Freak Nastty involved and what happens now?

ONE LAST CHANCE !!!THAT’S WHAT THE HEAVYWEIGHTS HAVE!

After a hearing exonerating Heavyweight Sean Royal from the false accusations that he was involved in the “Who Attacked Freak Nastty” mystery, his summer long suspension has been lifted. For those that have been following Royal’s unjust suspension, it was caused by Mr. Scott Wright who went to officials claiming he had proof that Sean Royal was involved in the heinous attack on Nastty.

Sadly enough, through all of this, the only one in the ECWA that stood by Sean Royal was his longtime partner and friend, the other Heavyweight, Danny Eckos. In an effort to avenge Royal’s suspension due to Wright’s accusations, Eckos wrestled Scott Wright at our last event with the following stipulations:

If Eckos won the match, Sean Royal could return to the ECWA.

If Wright won the match, Dan Eckos would be out of the ECWA like Royal.

IT HAPPENED. WRIGHT WON & DAN ECKOS was on the SHELF TOO!

But since then, officials reviewed the case against Royal and lifted his suspension, finding that Mr. Scott Wright lied about everything.

Now Royal is back in action, and poor Dan Eckos is out!

In lieu of Mr. Scott Wright’s arrogant misconduct and deceptions, the ECWA fined the pompous superstar $10,000.00. Wright and his attorneys fired back with a pending lawsuit against the ECWA. Meanwhile the officials of the ECWA countered with an option which entirely within their right! Wright, who himself is a suspect in the “Who Attacked Freak Nastty” mystery, further implicated himself when he blamed Nastty for the huge fine. He then made more threats toward Freak Nastty but for now:

On September 27, Nastty and other officials have ordered Mr. Scott Wright to wrestle Heavyweight Sean Royal and this time the shoe is on the other foot. Here are the stipulations:
If Sean Royal wins, Dan Eckos can return to action & Scott Wright is suspended. If Scott Wright wins, Sean Royal & Dan Eckos are BOTH GONE from the ECWA.

Mr. Scott Wright is livid! He is now facing a huge financial burden and possible suspension. No doubt he will be looking to take it out on Heavyweight Sean Royal in this highly important match up. Wright has threatened to bring a bevy of attorneys and perhaps some backup, even though he is larger than his diminutive opponent.

If you have ever seen the Heavyweights in action, you know they do not let their size deter their actions in the ring. On September 27 young Heavyweight Sean Royal will be in there giving it all he has to defend himself and his future. He will be trying to right the wrong, and most of all he will be fighting for the future of his longtime friend and partner, Dan Eckos. Speculation is that Dan Eckos may show up at ringside to cheer on his longtime friend.

It promises to be a match that should have the fans on the edge of their seats and one that could determine the future of one of ECWA’s most popular teams of all time, the Heavyweights, Sean Royal and Dan Eckos.Oh and did we mention?

It could determine the future of Mr. Wright as well.

It all unfolds on Saturday, September 27. Be there to see how it turns out!

Happy Birthday ECWA from the Chick Magnets

To be a part of such an incredible history is amazing ! 41 years and still going strong.

Happy Birthday ECWA. You're the Magnets' favorite 41 year old!!
Fontaine, Soscia, & Tobin

Tim Richards Wishes ECWA Happy Birthday

As the ECWA turns 41, and between watching, as well as being an active competitor, I would like to congratulate the ECWA for such an accomplishment. For a pro wrestling company to last 10 years if amazing, let alone 41. It not only says something about the talent, but the fans. They have been a family who through ups and downs, have been there for each other. That is why the ECWA is so special. So on the behalf of the athletes, past and present, and all of the fans I would like to wish the ECWA many more years of success.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Magnum's birthday banner for the ECWA

Joe Zanolle of PWI Magazine says happy birthday

I want to wish the ECWA and Jim Kettner a Happy 41st Birthday! WOW! What an awesome accomplishment! The ECWA always runs a professional and well-organized program, but most of all, they treat their fans like family. The July 2008 Fan Interaction Night illustrated how the ECWA goes above and beyond to provide the fans the "most bang for their buck," and an experience that they cannot get anywhere else. The Delaware-area fans are lucky to have such a great local pro wrestling program. I enjoy the shows immensely and I am very happy to be a small part of it. Again, Happy Birthday to the ECWA, and many more.

Joe Zanolle, PWI Magazine, Contributing Photographer

Glen Osbourne sends birthday wishes

Congratulations ECWA!!! To be a leader in professional wrestling for 41 years is a towering achievement. Countless wrestling organizations, large and small, have opened and closed their doors over the years, but the ECWA is going stronger than ever. The ECWA is truly the gold standard in professional wrestling, and I'm extremely proud to have been a part of its history. Cheers!

Sebastian Night sends birthday wishes to the ECWA

Wow. The East Coast Wrestling Association is 41 years young. A company that has launched hundreds of wresting careers and entertained thousands of fans. I have been blessed to have been a part of the ECWA for the last 10 years and hope to be here to celebrate it's 50th as well.

Happy Birthday ECWA

Sebastian Night

Matt Bennett says Happy Birthday to ECWA

Happy Birthday ECWA! A local wrestling promotion turning 41 years old is truly amazing. Most companies can barely make it to 5 years in business. Congratulations go out to the entire management staff. I am proud to say that I am a part of such a high class organization.
-Referee Matt Bennett

Congrats to the ECWA from Ace Darling

Happy anniversary to the ECWA. I have been here for 16 years and I look forward to being here another 16 years after my match with Glen Osborne on the 27th. This isnt going to be a "retirement match" where the loser goes away for 6 months and than comes back. This match will be the last wrestling match for the loser. Glen you had a great run, enjoy the celebration of the ECWA's 41 anniversary, because after September you will have nothing to celebrate.
-Ace Darling

Mega sends birthday wishes to ECWA

Happy Birthday ECWA!! To all the fans, wrestlers, staff, the Commish and especially Jim Kettner...congratulations on making the ECWA the class of the independent professional wrestling and let's keep the ball rolling!

Magnum Wishes ECWA Happy 41st

Happy 41st birthday wishes to the ECWA. It only took 40.5 years for them to bring in someone as dynamic, stylish, and pretty as Magnum, but all good things take time. Speaking of attractive, wow, check out that new web site main page they got.

Ooh La Meltdown

No contest!!!!!! Mid-Atlantic Meltdown hardly! Just look at the lineup.

The first three victims -- J.J. Cruz, Jason Leigh, and Corey Blaze -- not a problem; the three of them are hardly tough enough. HOWEVER, they will be a fine warm-up.

Gus Grand: Too busy managing.

Robere Shields: If i can out dance him, well you know.

Timothy Richards: almost as smart as a pit bull .

Chase Del Monte: "No chance" Delmonte, just another way to embarrass him.

Finally Aden Chambers: He is on a losing streak like I've NEVER SEEN BEFORE.

So, by my calculations, the only "sure thing" is a decisive VICTORY by ... Mr. Ooh La La!

ECWA Fan Interaction Night

ECWA Pro Wrestling. Fan Interaction Night. Saturday, July 26, 2008. Magnum will honor the fans by participating in a “Family Feud” style trivia contest with some lucky ECWA fans. The idea is laughable.

On one side you’ll have the awesome one, Magnum, teamed up with The Valedictorians, Coach Jim Shorts, and Mr. Scott Wright. A true mastermind team. On the other side ECWA fans, mostly from Delaware, will try to outsmart ECWA’s intellectual superiors.

The idea is hysterical. I mean, Delaware is the square root of stupid. The fans don’t stand a chance!

While I don’t know what questions will come our way, Magnum can easily predict that his team will reign supreme. It doesn’t take a genius to figure that out!

Good luck ECWA fans. I can’t wait to see the smoke exhaust from your ugly little ears. Just remember … think too hard and you’ll hurt yourself! Just come to the show and have fun. Don’t worry about winning … you never have and you never will. Leave that for the awesomeness of Magnum and his team.

-Magnum

Survey Says: No Prizes for Losers!

So, it seems you feeble-minded Americans are gonna try and match wits with me, a couple of Valedictorians, Mr. Wright, and Magnum! Good Luck! You're gonna need it! As a wise man once said, "Close only counts in horse shoes and hand-grenades." So you better bring your A-Game! I'm gonna do everything I can to make sure you go home with nuthin, not even a case of turtle wax... Top answer on the board: Germany!

Unsincerely,

Jim Shorts

PS. I hope your 4th of July got rained out!

Magnum Comments on ECWA Pro Wrestling's Upcoming Fan Interaction Night

So, ECWA Pro Wrestling is having Fan Interaction Night on July 26. Magnum cringes at the thought of what this can possibly mean. My awesomeness can only predict that the night will end with Magnum, winner of the 2008 Spring Olympiad, muttering those oh-so-famous words: “The horror… The horror…”

When it comes to the ECWA, one of Magnum’s few saving graces is that the house lights are NOT on. I couldn’t imagine, I wouldn’t WANT to imagine, having to look into the audience and actually see the ugly, depressed, sorry faces of the fans.

You know, Delaware’s state fish is the Weakfish. Nuff said.

Back to Fan Interaction Night for the glorious ECWA. Again, Magnum is having a hard time predicting what all this means, but he will come prepared. In addition to Magnum’s custom-designed and tailored couture clothing, he will also pack plenty of Purell just in case a grubby fan gets too close. I mean, everyone wants a piece of Magnum! Additionally, I’ll make sure my ride is close by with the engine running… one can never get out of Delaware quick enough!

Well, let the ECWA throw at me what they will. Kettner and Naegle tried to get the better of Magnum last show, and we all know how that turned out. Did I mention that Magnum has brought awesomeness to the ECWA? He brings it everywhere he goes … and it’ll definitely be there on July 26. You won’t want to miss it.

A heavyweight challenge by Dan Eckos

What's up ECWA fans? It’s one half of your favorite and the greatest tag team ever, and no I'm not talking about Doink and Dink the Clowns. It’s me, Dan Eckos of the Heavyweights. Before I begin talking about that sissy Scott Wright, I just want to give my bro Rob a quick shout out and say, love you bro.

Now onto Mr. Wright, who is dead WRONG on accusing my tag team partner Sean Royal of hitting Freak Nastty with a baseball bat. That two timing guy is like a piece of gum and I'm not talking about Bazooka Joe. He is like the one you step on and it gets stuck under your shoe. But he's not the easy one to pick off; he's the real soft and sticky annoying one that's takes forever to totally remove.

Scott Wright, I don't know where you got your info from but it’s wrong because Sean and I were at the gym. After the gym we were watching the movie Pumping Iron with Arnold Schwarzenegger so it couldn't have been him. But what's done is done and now Sean is suspended. So as a best friend and a tag partner, it is my right, Mr. Scott Wright, to knock you out "cuz, mama said to." I don't mean just a regular knock out but I mean a real painful one, like the pain you feel in your legs after doing 505 squats with 600 lb. on the bar.

With that being said Mr. Wright, and with the permission of ECWA officials, I challenge you to a fight on July 26, you DORK!

-Dan Eckos

E.S. Easton Analyzes

Here is my analysis of last show. Let me just be the first to pat myself on the back and say, I WAS RIGHT ALONG!

What was it I said? Brains will always overcome brawn. Ace Darling walked away with the titles! Actually, he ran away with the titles, but still...possession is nine tenths of the law!!! Glen Osbourne may have "won the battle", but Ace won the war! As far as I'm concerned, he's the undisputed champeen!!! And until Glen can get those belts back, it's gonna stay that way...Ace is quicker!

Now, onto the Logans...yes, they are still the ECWA Tag Team Champions...yes, they are a great tag team, and are one of the best teams to have ever graced an ECWA ring. HOWEVER the fact remains that they had to cheat to beat the Nigerians. The Nigerian Nightmares were pummeling the Logan Brothers from pillar to ring post, and sure enough, the Logans cheated to win. You know, there is just one thing that really tweaks my melon, and that's a cheater! I, E.S. Easton DO NOT and NEVER HAVE condoned cheating. It is unethical, unfathomable and for crying out loud inappropriate!!

Besides, I lost A LOT of money on that match!! Matt and Bryan Logan are a pair of jerks!

And speaking of jerk, Freak Nastty is returning in July...whoopdy doo!! Well, I have actually solved the so called "mystery" of the alleged attacker. Mr. Wright is WRONG. Sean Royal is NOT the attacker. Nor is it his partner, Danny Eckos...or Danny's brother Rob, or Rob's partner, Billy. Or Ted, Alice, Bob and Carol for that matter! It wasn't anyone on the roster or anyone affiliated with the ECWA front offices. It wasn't even a fan for that matter.

Confused? I know what I said last month, but I've had a chance to study all of the evidence now, and now I FINALLY KNOW what happened. Freak Nastty wasn't even attacked!!! You heard it here first! He's a liar! HE WAS NEVER ATTACKED! He simply slipped and fell, just like Mr. Ooh La La, but rather own up to it, he simply went with the story that he was attacked, rather than own up to the simple truth that the part owner of the ECWA is a KLUTZ!!

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

- E.S. Easton

Mega Challenges The Beast Glen Osbourne

What's up ECWA fans? I hope you're enjoying the Spring and getting ready for a great Summer! I just wanted to take time out to congratulate Glen on retaining the Heavyweight Championship and winning the Mid-Atlantic Title. Unfortunately, that's where the pleasantries end. I've never held a title in the ECWA and I've been a part of this great company for almost 6 years! It's time for that to change! Glen, if you're reading this, as soon as you get your belts back and dispose of that moron Ace Darling, I would love to hook up with you and challenge you for one of those belts. I'm hungry for a title and can taste it! Just the thought of entering that arena and winning a title for the fans gives me goose bumps. So please whatever you do, get your belts back, toss Ace Darling in the trash like the piece of garbage he is and let's gets down and have some fun and maybe, just maybe I can bring a championship belt back home to Wilson, NC!

Referee Matt Bennett weighs in

As always there is much to talk about in the ECWA. The show on May 10th, just like all ECWA live events, was one that I will remember for quite some time.

The man known as Magnum debuted alongside Frederick of Hollywood and led Frederick in defeating Mega. I was the referee assigned to this match and let me tell you something, Magnum was sure keeping me busy. I was made aware of some shenanigans on the part of Magnum that lead to Frederick’s victory. Unfortunately, once an ECWA event is over, the referee’s decisions are final. But a memo has been sent out to Referees Mike Crockett, Jim Dickson, and myself from the ECWA offices to keep an eye on this new manager when he is ringside.

I would like to commend fellow referee Mike Crockett on his call in the title vs. title match. Both men were pinned with “The Beast” raising his shoulder after the count of two while Ace’s shoulder stayed down for the count of three. Glenn Osbourne is now our double champion and I can’t think of a classier individual to lead our promotion. Unfortunately, a less classy individual is one Ace Darling. He was unable to accept the fact that he lost the match, and literally ran out of the arena with both title belts in his arms. No one from the ECWA has been able to get in touch with Ace to get the belts back. He has just sent word though his associates that the “REAL Double Champ” will be in attendance on July 26th.

Word was released earlier this week about the suspension of Heavyweight Sean Royal. I have know Sean for many years and I highly doubt that Sean is the one who laid out Freak Nastty. Scott Wright does present a rather good argument though. I made numerous calls to Sean’s cell phone, only to have it go right to voicemail. I was finally able to get a hold of Sean’s fiancée, Caroline, via email. Her response was that Sean is heartbroken and does not understand how anyone could believe the accusations. She said that he has left his phone off turned because talking about it just gets him really upset. She closed the email by saying that Sean has been taking his emotions and channeling them in the weight room and apparently has gained many pounds of added muscle. Caroline always does seem to exaggerate, and I hope that this whole story is exactly that, one big exaggerated lie. Commissioner Naegele will be back in August to sort out the mess.

Scott Wright seems to be accusing lot of people. First Chase Del Monte and now Sean Royal. Does that seem like a guilty conscience to anyone but me?

What I will remember most about May 10th is how Prince Nana pulled me in the way of Loca Vida’s high cross-body off of the top rope. The impact upon hitting the mat knocked me out momentarily. I came to and in my daze counted Prince Nana as the winner when I shouldn’t have.I regained my wits to see the entire locker room in the ring, protecting Mr. Jim Kettner from the Nigerian Nightmares. Its rare in wrestling that everyone comes together for anything and it was nice to see that even the lowlifes (who will go unnamed) in the locker room do in fact care about Jim.

Thankfully the Logan Brothers saved us from having the Nigerian Nightmares as tag team champions. I have a funny feeling that if Prince Nana or any of his men get gold, they will try to gain as much control as possible in the ECWA. Freak Nastty will be back in July 26th and hopefully make some decisions regarding the recent events and most importantly, fill us in on who attacked him back in April.

Get well wishes go out to Chick Magnet Mike Tobin. I’m sure you’ll be back better than ever before we know it. I’m sure all the lady-fans of the ECWA can’t wait, LOL.

See everyone on July 26th,
Referee Matt Bennett

The Green Team defeated The Chick Magnets

At the May 10, 2008 show, for one night only, officials allowed the team of J.J. Cruz, Jason Leigh & Corey Blaze to reunite as the Green Team to take on the legendary Chick Magnets (Mozart Fontaine, Mike Tobin & Brian Soscia). The Chick Magnets controlled most of the action and the kids fought back as hard as they could. When the smoke cleared, the Magnets ended up making a mistake causing themselves the victory.

Leather N Lace defeated The Heavyweights

Leather N Lace defeated The Heavyweights at the ECWA Pro Wrestling show on May 10, 2008 in a submisstion match.

Already aggravated from their confrontation with the Valedictorians, Leather N Lace took every opportunity to punish the young Heavyweights in this submission contest. They particularly set their sites on Heavyweight Dan Eckos, the younger brother of Valedictorians' Rob Eckos. They were merciless in their pursuit of young Dan, finally causing him to submit. Although the Heavyweights put up a gallant fight, the much larger and more experienced Leather N Lace team drove home a point, by hurting the younger Eckos brother.

After the match, the sadistic Leather N Lace tag team continued to punish the young Heavyweights and came within inches of destroying Heavyweight Dan Eckos. Watching from backstage were Rob Eckos (Dan’s older brother) and his partner Billy Bax. They came out to the rescue of The Heavyweights and another heated argument ensued between Leather N Lace and The Valedictorians. A challenge was made by both teams to face each other at our next event on July 26 ... they both readily accepted and the fans greeted the challenge with great enthusiasm! Officials were able to regain order and get both teams back to the locker room area.

Aden Chambers/Travis Blake defeated The Valedictorians (Billy Bax/Rob Eckos)

May 10, 2008 results...

Match #1
Aden Chambers/Travis Blake defeated The Valedictorians (Billy Bax/Rob Eckos)

The legendary Valedictorians returned after spring break confident and assured that they would rack up another victory against the less experienced team of Travis Blake and Aden Chambers. It was a fast and furious match to open the show and crowd erupted when the team of Chambers and Blake pulled out a win over the legendary duo.

As The Valedictorians were leaving the ring area heading back to the dressing room, the bumped into the team of Leather N Lace who were now entering for their match, which was next. Leather N Lace, who have had great success as a team lately, began to berate the Valedictorians, calling them old and washed up as a team! Bax & Eckos took exception to their remarks and after a heated discussion, they eventually retreated to the locker room.

Magnum is awesome, not accidental

Once again ECWA Pro Wrestling has totally misinterpreted the facts. If Magnum is one thing, he is awesome. But if he is something else, it’s forgiving; therefore, the ECWA will not be hit with a lawsuit from Magnum’s legal team for the slanderous remarks they posted to their Web site. Magnum is here to make an ad hominem. Look it up!

If you care to read the “detailed report” on ECWA Pro Wrestling’s Web site you’ll notice the erroneous remark, “He won by accident…” How dare you! No one is awesome by accident, and Magnum is the definition of awesome.

There were a number of accidents that night at the ECWA, but Magnum winning the Spring Olympiad Rumble was not one of them.

Accidents happen:
-Frederick of Hollywood getting eliminated in the Olympiad. Frederick obviously didn’t think Mega could ever be so lucky; I mean, who would? Mega did NOT eliminate Frederick. Frederick was a felo de se. Look it up!
-Mega putting his hands on me, Magnum. How dare he! Mega even ignored my instructions of “Not the face!” But Magnum’s awesomeness showed as he was too sly to be hit.
-Those gray t-shirts Magnum saw in the crowd. Please tell me those weren’t on purpose!

Again, it was NO ACCIDENT that Magnum should now be called, among other awesome names, “Mr. Olympiad.” The only accident was that Frederick wasn’t in the ring to send Mega over the top ropes. Believe me … Magnum does NOT like to get his hands dirty. Magnum goes to only the best salons and spas, and celebrity stylists and manicurists are not cheap.

And let me fill you in on something, dear report writer. You’ve shown your lack of intelligence and savvy in your attempt to insult me by calling Magnum a weasel. In this industry, referring to a manager as a weasel is the highest compliment. So, thanks for the mad props.

Magnum is here to tell you the truth, once and for all. There was no way Mega was going to win the Olympiad. Mega is not as good as Magnum. He never was and he never will be. There are forces in this universe that you cannot understand (because you’re not Magnum) … these forces would not allow a travesty like that to happen. You can’t stop the sun from rising in the morning; you can’t stop the earth from turning; and you can’t stop the awesomeness that is … MAGNUM!

Get Well Mike Tobin, from Jim Shorts

I want to let Mike Tobin know that the Shorts camp is wishing him well...not too well, I can't have the Chick Magnets running around everywhere taking the titles that belong to my boys. And I'm sure that it was some half-witted American that threw Mike out the wrong way forcing the injury. Anyway, get that arm back to 100%! If not I'm sure you can cast that baby up and start taking the Green Team out Cowboy Bob Orton style.

An Open Letter to The Valedictorians

Rob and Billy. Eckos and Bax. Let me first applaud you on your win on May 10th, it was ... Um wait a minute. That's right you DIDN'T win in May. You ended your match staring up at the lights. Then, if your night hadn't gone bad enough, you took your time leaving the ring and ran head on into the freight train, that is my boys, Leather N Lace. A confrontation that could have been avoided if you hadn't been in OUR Aisle while we made our way to the ring.

But you decided to step up to the plate, and by doing so, we took it out on Lil Danny Eckos. His screams of agony were like a symphony to my ears. Every second of his pain, made me laugh harder and harder. And then, once again, you stuck your noses into our business. You decided you wanted a piece of Leather N Lace and you wanted it THAT NIGHT.

Well, when you don't have the titles, you don't have any pull. So, you didn't get what you wanted, but come July 26th, you will get much more than you can handle in that ring, because Leather N Lace is coming with cruel intentions.

I will give you your just due, you are the greatest tag team to ever step into an ECWA ring. Your two plus year reign with the tag titles is unrivaled by any team ever. You have taken on all comers, were fighting champions and even now, an air of greatness surrounds you. Beating you in the ring will not be an easy task and not one we will take lightly, I promise you that. Since May 10th, I have been doing my due diligence. I've been watching tape of you, as singles competitors and as a team. I have seen you in your infancy as a team and at the height of your legendary status.

And I have found flaws in your game. I have found mistakes you make and I've seen your tells and I will share these findings with JJ and Hot Shot.

You may both be ECWA Hall of Famers for your performances in the ring all these years, but don't forget, so am I. I didn't get there without earning it. Valedictorians, you were and maybe still are a great team. But you have lost your focus and no longer carry a killer instinct in your hearts. But we do. You will be just another stepping stone for Leather N Lace on July 26th, as we continue our journey towards our destiny, a meeting with The Logan Brothers and the ECWA Tag Team Titles.

In all sincerity,
Sebastian Night

La La Vice is still Loo Loo Looking

After viewing hours of video from that night, on top of hours of Miami Vice I can say that "La La Vice" is ALL over the case. We narrowed the list of suspects down to the following...Glen Osbourne, Ace Darling, The Logans, The Nigerian Nightmares, Magnum, Frederick of Hollywood, Mega, Prince Nana, Loca Vida, Chase Del Monte, Mr. Scott Wright, Leather N Lace, The Heavyweights, Aden Chambers & Travis Blake, The Valedictorians, The Green Team, The Chick Magnets, not to mention the ring crew, a guy named Pete, and Brandi. Those responsible should worry and know that since we expanded our research to now include the Rockford Files and CSI Vegas you can bet it is only a matter of time that the party or parties are brought to swift FRENCH justice.

Thanks from Mike Tobin

Thanks to the ECWA Family...

I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who helped me this past Saturday night. During the battle royal I fell from the ring and landed on the floor which resulted in my right arm being broken in a very scary looking fashion. From the moment the injury occurred everyone in the ECWA jumped in to help . There are a few people in particular I would like to give extra thanks to.

To Corey Blaze who an hour earlier was staring across the ring at me being the first one to use his training as an EMT to get me out of the building ready. Thank You.

To Sebastian Night who always talks about "Family" for taking me to the hospital and never moving an inch even when the X-Ray techs face dropped. LOL. Thank You Brother.

The staff at Cristiana Hospital who were amazing. It never went that fast back in the BX.

Allison & Beth Ash for being incredible friends and making sure I made it home.

Thanks to Jim, all the Boys, Fans & Friends who waited for me to get back, called, or sent emails. I appreciate every one. ECWA has been a home to me and to be a part of a tradition for this long has truly been an Honor.

These past few days has shown me what FAMILY is all about... THANK YOU!

Don't hang up my Bow Tie just yet...

Mike Tobin
